Viral rat-hunting mobile game Pokémon Go is about the Apple Watch now. Beginning today, you will discover rats, some of which will have Christmas hats, on your own $270 wrist-bound iPhone.
Fans expected Niantic to release an associated Pokémon Go app closer to September, or in least, prior to the last end of the entire year. A rumor lately spread that the complete task was cancelled until mid-December when Niantic clarified via Twitter that Pokémon Go on the Apple View was still alive. The news release reads, “Apple Watch is particularly suitable to Pokémon GO since it seamlessly combines gameplay and imagination with getting exercise and exploring real life.”
On your Apple Watch, you’ll receive notifications about nearby PokéStops and Pokémon, get items from PokéStops, hatch eggs and get candy. Unlike the Pokémon wrist plus Go accessory, you can’t catch Pokémon on it. You’ll need to capture on your Cellphone.
